Q: There are two entry categories - one for professional photographers and one for amateur photographers. What is the difference between a professional and amateur photographer?
A: For the purposes of the #WISPAA competition a professional photographer is a photographer who earns an income from taking and publishing images. An amateur photographer is a photographer who does not earn income from taking and publishing images.
Q: Images submitted have to be action photographs. What is an action photograph?
A: For the purpose of the #WISPAA competition photographs submitted must show a woman or women actively participating in a sport. The sportswoman or sportswomen don't have to be in motion but they need to be on the field of play or the sidelines.
Q: What are the judges looking for?
A: The judges will favour entries that portray the strength, skill and athleticism of Australian sportswomen actively participating in sport at any level in Australia.
